Chelsea travel to Charlton on Sunday 1 November in the Women’s Super League after a 2–0 European win over Roma. Kick-off is scheduled for 16:30 in Jerusalem in the fixture record. Chelsea enter the round on top of the table with 19 points from seven matches.
Competition strength and the limits of rotation
Sonia Bompastor said the strength of the competitions makes broad squad rotation difficult between European and domestic fixtures, according to ESPN’s report first published on 30 October. Her emphasis was on effective recovery between games, rather than treating a league match as an automatic opportunity to rest a large group of players.
Chelsea’s league record contains six wins and a draw, with 21 goals scored and four conceded in the current standings. Those figures frame the Charlton trip as part of protecting their position at the top. The actual team selection still awaits the club’s matchday announcement; the coach’s comments do not by themselves confirm a starting eleven.
