Paris Saint-Germain’s medical update confirms successful surgery on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s right anterior cruciate ligament at Doha’s Aspetar hospital and the start of rehabilitation. It follows the club’s injury announcement after Barcelona rather than describing a separate new injury.

What the announcement establishes

The update gives no competitive return date. Successful surgery is therefore not treated as immediate availability, and no recovery period is imported from unrelated cases. The medical information comes from the club. Replacing the player or redistributing minutes will be subsequent sporting decisions that this statement does not establish. Nor does a successful operation mean rehabilitation is complete.

European context is separate from medical assessment

The Champions League table checked on 28 October places Paris first with nine points from three games and a +9 goal difference. Those numbers describe the team’s position at the time of this report. They neither isolate the effect of one player’s absence nor establish the results of future games. Any later performance comparison needs to distinguish the period before the injury from the period after it, rather than attributing every change to a single name.

The reported status moves from planned surgery to completed surgery while retaining the injury’s context. This is neither an independent diagnosis nor treatment advice.
