The Champions League table checked on 28 October 2026 has five clubs on nine points after three games: Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Real Betis. Equal points do not mean equal positions. The source ordering is retained without inventing an explanation for every tie-break.
The top-eight line is not qualification yet
UEFA’s format sends the top eight directly to the round of sixteen, ninth to 24th into play-offs, and eliminates 25th to 36th. Barcelona are eighth and Como ninth in this snapshot, both on six points. The boundary consequently represents no points gap at present and can change after one result. Every team has five games left, or fifteen mathematically available points. These positions are not a final list of qualifiers.

This is a dated reading of the league-phase table. Historical results are not made to look new, and eliminated clubs are not moved into the Europa League: the linked format supplies no such route.
