Brentford referred a rugby-ball stunt during the Liverpool match to police, ESPN reported on 19 October, after the club described the behaviour as dangerous.

The referral concerns an incident outside normal play, rather than the 2-1 result in Liverpool’s favour. It is an investigative step and does not establish that anyone has been convicted or received a court penalty.
